Containers are long-lasting

Containers endure a multitude of challenges during their service life, facing natural and environmental influences on global journeys. They withstand physical strains such as transshipment, loading, unloading, and shifting cargo. In the event of damage that impairs functionality, repairing the container is a viable option.

Furthermore, a container's suitability for shipping is confirmed by a CSC-acceptance tag, valid for a specific duration but renewable through reassessment and additional repairs if needed. After the initial assessment, a new container undergoes its first reassessment after 5 years, with tag renewal possible for up to 2.5 years at a time. We collaborate closely with our depots to assess our containers' condition and availability. If repairs or CSC tag reassessments are required, our network of experts collaborates with us to address them.

Repair standards

Container repair is in accordance with the following standards.
  1. a) IICL Latest Edition (6)

  2. The cargo box possesses an authorized CSC tag and adheres to the IICL criteria. This benchmark surpasses the standards of being Cargoworthy.
  3. b) Cargoworthy

  4. The container has a valid CSC plate and is approved for international sea transport.
  5. c) Wind and water tight

  6. The container may no longer be suitable for international transport. However, it is still fully usable as a storage container.
  7. d) As Is

  8. The container has not been inspected or is damaged. This is the cheapest option if you want to do it yourself or if the condition does not matter at all.
